Department Buka Puasa Dinner

Wow...annual department berbuka puasa. Eat for FREE...bestnya!

Venue: KDE (Kelab Darul Ehsan), Ampang - Restaurant Duyong

5.45pm! Leave the office sharp sharp and tumpang my colleague's car to KDE as we scared later we could be jammed in the traffic and find no parking. Once we reached KDE, we called the other colleague to check what's the restaurant name and where's the location. "Just follow the Restaurant Oriental Pearl signage"...she replied...i wondered why the buka puasa dinner held in a Chinese restaurant, non-halal somemore!? Never mind, i follow aje...

Passed by a pond with lots of Koi fishes...still searching for the restaurant...

Contacted the colleague again for the restaurant details since we could not find the way. She finally turned up and asked us to follow her. See, how pretty she is with the baju kebaya...lovely Suria and also "Gong Gong"...let's see what's next that's interesting about the "Gong Gong" Suria...

We followed her. Passed by a mini bazaar in front of row of shops...heading to the said restaurant.

Once we reached the restaurant...i quickly snapped the signboard. When i was about to enter to the restaurant, suddenly i saw her entered into another place next to "Restaurant Oriental Pearl". I thought she "Gong Gong" and went into a wrong place and i started to find out where exactly the dinner is. At the end, ni makcik si "Gong Gong" told us that the dinner is held in "Restaurant Duyong" which served Malay food...next to Restaurant Oriental Pearl...haiz...really "Gong Gong"! Next time if we are to participate in treasure hunt, never ask her to be the navigator, sure lose!

Time to eat, gang! First, drink and have the dates...so sweet~~~

See what i have...

My 1st plate: fried rice, vege, prawn, rendang, curry

My 2nd plate: "rojak", apa-apa pun ada...roti jala, roasted chicken, sosej, nugget, wedges...with wafer?

3rd plate: a combination of satay + timun - a must have! fried carrot cake and fried ubi. 4th plate: salad!

Dessert? ABC + kuih...

Overall, the food is okey and so so only. Nothing very special was served. Not to comment so much as it's free, department pays for it. :)
