It benefits me? Or it benefits everybody?

Read on The Star this morning, eih…you all must be thinking of me being so free in the morning, izzit? No! To read on the newspapers in the morning is a part of my job to observe what competitors are doing everyday, so that we could also react fast towards competitors’ actions. Opss…perhaps I am over react now. Okey, let’s back to the today’s news.

Today’s Metro section - LRT extension. To me, it’s good news; regardless it’s going to be ready by 2012, regardless it’s still a proposal. Most importantly, it benefits me!

Before I travel by LRT, I drive to work. For me to drive from where I stay previously at Old Klang Road to KL city centre, it takes me more than an hour. Even though I am using the KL-Seremban highway and SMART, I still reach my office within one and a half hour. Furthermore, I need to pay for the toll and in returns; still I have to “enjoy” the traffic jam in the highway! Yes, especially at the peak hour, I need to spend two hours just to get home. If it’s a rainie day, worse! They have to close SMART and everybody is using Jalan Tun Razak. It’s one of the worse in traffic when it’s raining.

Now, I stay in Puncak Jalil. Every morning, I will park my car at B.Jalil station. I take Star to Masjid Jamek. Transit to KLCC station by Putra LRT. The whole journey takes me about an hour. To me, travel to work by LRT benefits me more:

1) Save me cost

I spend RM100 per month on the monthly travel pass. It allows me to travel using both STAR and PUTRA line. Unlimited travels! Somemore, it can be transferable to somebody if i don’t use it. As long as you carry the pass, u can access!

2) Save me time
From one and a half hour now shorten  to within an hour, it saves my time! No traffic jam at all!

3) Me, not the driver >.<
I like this most! Feel sleepy in the morning? I have got a driver to drive me to work every morning. I can sleep in the train. If not, I can read newspaper or books while I travel >.<

4) Me, still got the seat
Normally I still manage to get a seat at B. Jalil station, as it’s the 2nd station from Sri Petaling to KL.

What I am glad with the proposal is on the new extension route for Ampang LRT that they are now proposing to access into Puchong area. This will definitely help solves the traffic in Puchong. Nevertheless, of course it’s more convenient to me that I travel less from home and I can later take LRT from Giant Kinrara instead of B. Jalil! It benefits me!

Overall I hope it’s really benefits everybody! Perhaps…not everbody, but at least, most of the people…
