The Biggest Pasar Malam

Wednesday night Alex and I went to the biggest pasar malam in Malaysia (I claim that) at Taman Connaught. It took us round and round just to find the right highway to turn into the pasar malam. New highways and lots of flyover. We confused. Long time we never been there. I think about 3-4 years ago? Yea…really such a long time. Yet, everything seems to be the same, no changes. (except the highway =( )

1) Still, a lot of people
Crowded till we can’t even walk slowly. Slowwwwwwwwww…one-two steps, stop! Then, walk one-two steps, stop again! Seriously, we spent an hour and half just to walk 1/3 of the pasar malam.

2) Still, a lot of stalls selling different of things, all sort of things!
Food, fried stuffs, clothes, accessories, books, decorative stuffs, even pets @.@??? Yes! Believe it or not??? Go and see it yourself!

3) Still, the delicious Assam Laksa is there
Seriously, we had eaten the famous Assam Laksa 3-4 years ago. Both Alex and I thought of to have it again this time. We found the stall and the first thing we do is to get a place to sit before we order. We were so happy when we found a table and we were quite surprised as there were so much more tables not being occupied…it’s abnormal! Then, Alex went to order the Assam Laksa at the tauke poh. In just a few seconds, he came back with a quite surprised face and he told me that the Assam Laksa tauke poh ONLY serves the customers who are sitting at her “territory”. Huh??? So…us? We have to order food from the other stall at the other corner. Hmm…we were hungry. No more energy to think too much, we ordered 1 laksa and 1 pan mee from the other stall.

Here’s our advice and WARNING! DO NOT order food from the stall that you are not familiar with!

Laksa – it’s too salty! The soup was sucks! Yaiks…
Pan Mee – it’s tasteless!! Haiz…
Somemore, it costs RM4.00/bowl.
I do not know what had happened between the 2 stalls, but I pity the customers like us…=(

4) Still, the BUSUK tau fu is there too
From far, u will notice the stall is still exist…Sense their existance with your nose! U would never miss it!

5) Still, a lot of stalls selling pirated DVDs, CDs
Yea…still a lot of peopple support pirated DVDs & CDs…Are you one of them?

6) Still, the traffic controllers are there >.<
Too much of people, too much of cars. We need them to make sure the traffic is smooth all the way! Yipee...

Highlight of that night:
Fried mini crabs @ RM3/stick. RM5 if you buy 2 sticks. Can choose from different flavors, i.e: normal, pepper, salty, “ma lat” etc…Can try! Crunchy and yummy!
