Long-winded funny thank you speechess

I saw an advertisement in The Sun today while waiting for the lrt at Masjid Jamek station. Hmm, should i say it's an ad? It was a thank you notes...not an ad.

It's done in black and white, no colour, no picture. Purely in text. Visualization wise, it's not interesting at all.

But somehow, it gained my attention and i spent about a minute to read it. I read it because i was attracted by the content. Because of it's punchy, it's funny. Then my second thought was because it's cost effective - advertised cheaply in black and white yet still it gains readership.

And...most importantly - they are NAGA DDB.

For those who are from advertising background,  i am sure they heard about Naga DDB. For those who are not, i am sure you all know about Digi the Yellow Man, Nippon Paint the very cute "Blobbies" etc...Those are just some of the creative ideas from Naga DDB. Now, back to the thank you speeches.

Opps...
I am not your mother and father and brother and sister and aunty and uncle
(that, it got to ask your parents)
I am not your friend who just simply become friend because you have just won the award
(i am sincere)
I am not your colleague and competitor
(i am not working in an advertising industry)
I am not the roti man and the teh tarik fellow
(even though my sir name with Teh >.<)
I am not the English teacher
(as my English is not that good)
I am not your client
(i hope to be your client also...but can charge me cheaper? no big budget la...)

Yet...I am a reader of Advertising + Marketing magazine
Yet...I like the big fat ugly cute yellow man
(Ei...to me, he doesn't look like a cupid, does he??)
Yet...I like the many many colourful blobbies
Yet, still...
Congratulations to Naga DDB...keep up the good work! Bravo!
