I like sports and I used to sport during my school days i.e: softball and running. I learn to swim from Alex when I was in university. Before we move to our new house, both of us used to swim almost once a week, as there was a swimming pool at the apartment that we stayed previously. We also like to jog at Bukit Komanwel, Bukit Jalil.
However, even though now we stay near Bukit Jalil, we still hardly go to jog and swim except weekends. Yet, most of the weekends we will be back to Ipoh to visit Keith (the Alex Jr) and relatives. No leisure time for exercise.
Hardly we got the chance to exercise daily, says jog after work (will be quite dangerous to jog at night), swim (still ok, but won’t be able to swim after dinner). So, what we can do? Shopping? Hmm…It’s also a good “slow-walk” activity after dinner, haha…but not healthy for the wallet @.@
So, what? There is a good exercise that u all may try – golfing. Yes, u can play at night in a clubhouse. Safe and comfortable. All u need is golf clubs. Golf clubs are used to hit a golf ball. Not those clubbing clubs…:p
Last weekend, both Alex & I and Ah Seng (brother-in –law and also Alex’s sifu) went to a clubhouse called Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort at Batu Gajah, Perak. I have to say, it’s a very nice place. A regeneration of nature, Clearwater Sanctuary that encompasses over 100 acres, prestigiously transforms the former tin-mining glory of the Kinta Valley into the nation's latest, unique and most breathtaking 27-hole golf resort.
Specifically designed to protect and enhance the surroundings, Clearwater Sanctuary is home to nature's exotic flora and fauna. Presenting an exclusive retreat for both golfers and nature lovers, Clearwater Sanctuary will organise special outdoor activities to enable members and their guests to enjoy a most memorable date with Mother Nature. The Raintree Nine and Lakes Nine, acclaimed to be among the most challenging and picturesque course in South East Asia, promises a truly memorable golfing experience. The Wetlands Nine, a unique Par-3 course, is the ideal challenge for those seeking a short but satisfactory game. Juniors and beginners or those who need to sharpen their golfing skills should try out the Wetlands Nine.
Guess what? To me, the specialty of the clubhouse is the aquatic driving range. Yes, it allows you to thump golf balls into a lake…onto water, not onto grass. So, u will hear the sound of golf ball thumping onto water IF IF IF you manage to hit the ball, ahaha!!!
No worry, you just need to pay money, they will give you a basket of 100 golf balls, u swing! Aim the golf ball as your enemy...bit it, swing it! Swing as far as you like (IF you mange to swing the ball), swing as high as you can, just swing!!! Weeeeeeee…...
Shhh…As the first timer, I managed to hit the ball and thump into the lake…but just a small distance…lakeside only...muahaha >.< Cheh…but at least I managed to. Huh!
But Alex looks like a professional golfer (at driving range only) even though this is his 2nd time playing golf. He can hit the ball till very very far…………………………..halloooooooooooooooo~~~
I don’t know how to discribe the right steps for golfing as I am not a professional golfer, till then - don’t know after how many practices in driving range and by the time I can play at the golf course, I will let u all know…Till then…till when? Seriously, I don’t know. >.< kekeke!
But now, I have to buy a glove first…we played without glove and it hurts out hand and palm! Hmm…better well-equiped outselves first, no point talking about to be a golfer! :p
It’s a nice game and I enjoy it. And, it’s not a game only for old folks, okey! Young man like us also can play! That’s for sure. I even saw a girl playing golf…lovely!
Wanna be pro? Play golf la…>.<
